Christian religions would have us believe Jesus was afraid while praying in the Garden of Gethsemane. What would he have been afraid of? The most powerful Empire at the time, the Roman Empire? What is the United States known as? The most powerful nation in our time!
When the United States Banks have purposefully created a world economic crises by crashing the world economy.
And when corporations in the United States separate the U.S. from its money by putting all their money in offshore banks refusing to pay their fair share of taxes. The United States becomes a Nation Enslaved.
Those who hoard their money spend it on buying loyalty in governments around the world. Others who have money who buy loyalty from local and federal governments are organized crime.
While the Pope is leading followers of his religion to be loyal and to include all Humanity and not only stay loyal to your own kind and your GOD. The affluent have no such concern.
